Starting on September 1, Rogan’s podcast, which is one of the most popular in the world, will hit the streaming platform, before Spotify assumes exclusive rights, including video later in the year. Since 2009, The Joe Rogan Experience has broken new ground in the digital entertainment space. As the voice of the UFC, Rogan has attracted a cult-like following, and thanks to his revolving door of incredible guests, his podcast series is unparalleled. It appears the latest deal with Spotify may have pushed his bank account into that category as well. The financial details of the new Joe Rogan Spotify deal have not been released, however, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the deal is in excess of USD$100 million. That’s over AUD$150 million for those of us reading down under. It’s big news for Rogan, who has already topped Forbes’ list of Highest-Paid podcasters. While Rogan and Spotify have yet to confirm this figure, the WSJ cites ‘a person familiar with the matter’ as a source, which neither cements nor refutes the claim. However, with the incredible amount of pull Rogan has over the millennial audience, it would be hard to image him signing the deal for anything less than a ridiculous sum of money.
