This appears to be some of the earliest “watchable” video of Van Halen in concert, early in 1978, just before their debut album, Van Halen, dropped. Kids these days don’t realize how hard it was to sneak a camcorder into a concert back in those days. Back then, even the tiny ones were bigger than a toaster and difficult to operate without drawing unwanted attention to yourself. The fact that this video was shot (probably on VHS) AND survived is almost a miracle of technology.
