When we meet at the marina on Sentosa Island its a lovely experience. Walking past luxury yachts in the heat we arrive at a simple, old craft which is good up to 7 people. It's not luxury but it works, and we can enjoy the ride. Chilly Buddy is light and fast, with a highly responsive outboard motor. Its a smaller craft, seating up to 7. Two pilot seats at the helm are away from the rest of the boat. A blissful experience, still in the country of Singapore but not on land. Its a rare treat to relax with friends under the shade of the bimini. The engine propels us along at up to 30 knots. Fast enough to hold on to your hat! We stop off at Smith Marine, Prive or ONE15 Marina for a coffee or lunch. But maybe you prefer to picnic on the water, set the engine to idle and just reeelax. For the kids a visit to Lazarus Island with is pure white sand (and slightly murky water) awaits. Great photos, though slightly uncomfortable being bitten by the sea lice when swimming. It's all part of the adventure!
If we take Sunshine we can anchor the boat and wade in to the little islands for exploring which would be a good adventure. We can save budget by bringing a picnic lunch. Or we can visit Smith Marine floating restaurant. There are several kelongs along the way where you can buy fresh fish for your breakfast! Great, comfy good for 6 or 7 people. On a good calm day we could go to ONE15 Marina - but it takes about 2 hours before lunch and 2 hours back again after lunch. I wouldn't take kids on this length of journey.
