No matter what happens this week, hopefully both Trump and Kim will take a close look at their host country and see what is possible when you do things right. With its rule of law, efficient, effective government, fair taxation, fair immigration policy, zero crime and zero unemployment and zero homelessness, Singapore is a prosperous, clean, ultra-modern glimmering jewel of a nation. What must Kim be thinking as he tours Singapore and contrasts it with the wasteland he presides over? A twinge of envy? Gut-wrenching shame? And what was going through Trump's mind as he spoke with the eloquent, rational, soft-spoken Lee Hsien Loong, a man who is as charming and decent as Trump is vile and contemptuous? My guess is that neither man paid any attention at all to any of it.
