I am Karol Nienartowicz and I'm a 29-year old photographer from Poland. I was born in Jelenia Góra, a small town in the south-western part of the country, and now I live in Gdansk. I still recall one particular day in summer of 2003, when my mom took me on my first mountain trip. I saw that heart-breathing beauty of mountains and I quickly wanted to share this feeling with other people! Thus, I took my photo camera on my next trip. Since that moment, I've photographed mountains, combining photography with my great passion for traveling.

It was 1976. Crew members from the TV show The Six Million Dollar Man were preparing to shoot on location at the Pike Amusement Park in Long Beach, California. The plan was to capture Steve Austin, the titular pricey fellow, riding in one of the cars along the track of a spooky ride called the "Laff in the Dark." The ride featured a tunnel in which ghouls, demons, and skeletons would pop up and scare you as your car jolted from side to side in the dark. While sprucing up the set, a Six Million Dollar employee spotted a mannequin hanging from a noose in the corner. He reached for the mannequin's arm — and the arm broke off in his hand. Looking at the dismembered limb, the worker was astonished to see what looked like bone beneath layers of desiccated skin. This was no mannequin. This was a man.

Fans of "The Simpsons" now slurp a Squishee and gulp Lard Lad Donuts at the world's first real-life Kwik-E-Mart in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It's designed like a favorite location from the long-running animated TV series, and it opened Friday in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Other items for sale include memorabilia associated with Bart Simpson, his parents, Homer and Marge, sisters Lisa and Maggie and the rest of the globally known characters from the town of Springfield. Those include Apu, owner of the show's convenience store, Kwik-E-Mart, who is of Indian descent. The show received criticism recently from viewers troubled by the stereotypical characterization, like Apu's accent provided by actor Hank Azaria. "The Simpsons" is known for its many catchphrases, including one from Apu that is painted on a wall inside the store: "Thank you, come again!" it says. Mark Cornell, of SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment, one of the developers, said the first visitors included three generations of a family, all arguing playfully about who was the bigger "Simpsons" fan. "To see three generations walk through the door that all love 'The Simpsons,' how can you say that about anything else?" he told CNN affiliate WBTW. The store is next door to a "Simpsons"-themed Aztec Theater expected to open later this year.
